Oldman,

Glad to see you on Nebraska. They will be pumped up for Bobby Knight and the Red Raiders tomorrow. Especially after awful effort last home game against KState. Nebraska still has hopes for post season play with 2 home wins and a win or two in conf tournament.

Ted,
Hope all is well with you.I am leaning strongly to Seton Hall, but I am not sure at this point. The Pirates will have big advantages at certain positions(Whitney and Barrett for starters).I feel their bid will be secure with one more win,but I am worried they will be flat after the tough game with Nova.Rice probably plays for Miami tomorrow and because of the Canes' 9 consecutive losses,I am fighting the "this team is due" theory(which I know is ridiculous and I have learned to ignore it for the most part).

Nebraska is hard for me to get a handle on as well. They have had three different seasons in effect(10-1,1-6, and 3-0 before dropping their last two) and I have always been on the losing end when I play on them or against them.Tech has been nothing special on the road and have to rely too much on Emmett in my opinion.I want to jump on the Huskers, but I am hesitant at this point because of their streakiness.

Do you mind sharing your views on these two?

Good luck tomorrow.

oldmanted,

I like all 4 of your plays but just a little skeptical of Seton Hall with Rice back from Miami. Best of luck.

Omaha:

Of the four selections, Nebraska is my strongest even though I rate them the same. Continued good luck with your plays.

Low Tide:

Seton Hall is playing good ball right now with a lot to continue to play for while Miami is playing out the season even with Rice. I don't normally like to play conference road favorites, but with the number reasonable, I see the Pirates being much more highly motivated then the Canes. I expect no letdown form them following this past weekend. They played a very good Villanova team and came out on top. They are a good team that plays consistently hard. That's all you can ask.

As for Nebraska, they are my top selection of the day even though I rate them the same. Any team that can take Oklahoma State to overtime on the road is to be taken seriously. Texas Tech has not played that well over the second half of the season and should be getting more points here. If the Raiders were at home, I would look at it differently. Nebraska has been undervalued all year long. This is a great spot with a low number.

Glad you like the plays. As in my above comments to Low Tide, Seton Hall is playing the much better ball right now and with the low impost, worth a look. Good luck to you with your picks.

At first glance, I have a lean toward Memphis as they are a quality team. I don't normally lay a heavy impost on my plays, Duke being a recent exception. Therefore, I cannot place the Tigers in either a rated release or an opinion but just a lean. Good luck whatever you decide to do with your plays.

Sorry for the delayed response. Been away in the city all day and just got back. Thanks for the good wishes and good luck with your total tonight. If you have to look to hard to find a play, it's best to pass. I'm with you on that. Good discipline.

Aloha Ted, I like your card alot. I had Prov, and Neb as well , but had to cut my card down a bit as I felt it was a bit to much. But those were good plays. These days, there is alot of good looking plays. Anyways, good luck and Aloha CC.

Ted, do you take a chance on your plays with a small parlay just in the event you sweep em.

Michigan, cant believe they let this one get by them. Your last three looks real good. Aloha CC.

Yes! Every once in awhile I'll play a small parlay, normally only up to a maximum of four teams, if I feel really good about my plays. But it is very rare. I'd estimate about a dozen per year only.

Michigan was in command, but let the game slip away. I can accept losses in this manner provided I feel that my handicapping had the correct side. Sometimes we win games that we didn't deserve, so it all balances out in the long run. I get more concerned if my handicapping gets off base. The wins and losses will come, but if you lose your ability, that could become a problem. So far, we're doing alright.

Thank you and congratulations on a nice bounce back yourself tonight. Realize it's been a bit of a tough stretch for you. Just continue to grind and be selective and you'll do just fine. Continued good luck with you selections.
